सूत उवाच । एतस्मिन्नंतरे विप्रो वसिष्ठो लज्जयान्वितः । ज्ञात्वा दत्तं वृथा शापं तस्य भूमिपतेस्तदा
sūta uvāca | etasminnaṃtare vipro vasiṣṭho lajjayānvitaḥ | jñātvā dattaṃ vṛthā śāpaṃ tasya bhūmipatestadā
സൂതൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഇതിനിടയിൽ ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ വസിഷ്ഠൻ ലജ്ജയാൽ നിറഞ്ഞു; അപ്പോൾ ആ ഭൂമിപതിക്കു നൽകിയ ശാപം വ്യർത്ഥമായിപ്പോയെന്ന് അവൻ അറിഞ്ഞു.
