सूत उवाच । सोऽपि तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा पीत्वा क्षीरं यथोचितम् । आघ्रातश्च तया मूर्ध्नि ततः प्रोवाच सत्वरम्
sūta uvāca | so'pi tadvacanaṃ śrutvā pītvā kṣīraṃ yathocitam | āghrātaśca tayā mūrdhni tataḥ provāca satvaram
സൂതൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അവനും അവളുടെ വാക്കുകൾ കേട്ട് യഥോചിതമായി പാൽ കുടിച്ചു. പിന്നെ അവൾ സ്നേഹത്തോടെ അവന്റെ തല നുകർന്ന് (ചുംബിച്ച്), അവൻ ഉടൻ സംസാരിച്ചു.
