हरिश्चंद्र उवाच । कृतकृत्योस्मि देवेश सर्वमस्ति गृहे मम । पुत्रं त्यक्त्वा त्वया सोऽपि दत्तो वंशधरो जयी
hariścaṃdra uvāca | kṛtakṛtyosmi deveśa sarvamasti gṛhe mama | putraṃ tyaktvā tvayā so'pi datto vaṃśadharo jayī
ഹരിശ്ചന്ദ്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ദേവേശാ! ഞാൻ കൃതകൃത്യനാകുന്നു; എന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിൽ സർവ്വസമൃദ്ധിയും ഉണ്ട്. പുത്രഹീനതയുടെ ദുഃഖം നീക്കി, വംശധരനായ ജയശാലി പുത്രനെയും നീ എനിക്കു പ്രസാദിച്ചു।
