विश्वामित्र उवाच । सावित्रं पद्ममेवैतद्यत्स्पृष्टं भूपते त्वया । उच्छिष्टेन रविर्मध्ये स्वयं यस्य व्यवस्थितः
viśvāmitra uvāca | sāvitraṃ padmamevaitadyatspṛṣṭaṃ bhūpate tvayā | ucchiṣṭena ravirmadhye svayaṃ yasya vyavasthitaḥ
വിശ്വാമിത്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ രാജാവേ! നീ സ്പർശിച്ചതത് സത്യത്തിൽ സാവിത്രപദ്മമാണ്. അതിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യത്തിൽ മധ്യാഹ്നത്തിൽ സ്വയം സൂര്യൻ വസിക്കുന്നു; നീ ഉച്ഛിഷ്ടാവസ്ഥയിൽ അതിനെ സ്പർശിച്ചു.
