ततश्चक्री स दैत्येन ग्रस्तचक्रेण ताडितः । सुपर्णेन समायुक्तो जगाम विषमां व्यथाम्

tataścakrī sa daityena grastacakreṇa tāḍitaḥ | suparṇena samāyukto jagāma viṣamāṃ vyathām

അപ്പോൾ ചക്രധാരിയായ ശക്രൻ, തന്റെ തന്നെ ചക്രം പിടിച്ചിരുന്ന ദൈത്യന്റെ പ്രഹരത്തിൽ പീഡിതനായി; സുപർണൻ (ഗരുഡൻ) കൂടെയുണ്ടായിട്ടും കടുത്ത വ്യഥയിൽ വീണു.
