ṛṣaya ūcuḥ | prāyaścittaṃ samādiṣṭaṃ mahāmāṃsasya bhakṣaṇāt | pratigrahasya bhūpālā dāpatkāle'pi no nṛpa

ഋഷികൾ പറഞ്ഞു—“മഹാമാംസം ഭക്ഷിച്ചതിന് പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം വിധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; കൂടാതെ, ഭൂപാലാ, ആപത്‌കാലത്തിലും ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് പ്രതിഗ്രഹം (ദാനം സ്വീകരിക്കൽ) യുക്തമല്ല, നൃപാ।”
