एवं विलपमानस्य मम सूत कुलोद्वह । आगताः सुहृदः सर्वे रुरुदुस्तेऽपि दुःखिताः
evaṃ vilapamānasya mama sūta kulodvaha | āgatāḥ suhṛdaḥ sarve ruruduste'pi duḥkhitāḥ
ഹേ കുലശ്രേഷ്ഠനായ സൂതാ! ഞാൻ ഇപ്രകാരം വിലപിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ, എന്റെ സുഹൃത്തുക്കളെല്ലാം അവിടെ എത്തി; അവരും ദുഃഖിതരായി കരയാൻ തുടങ്ങി.
