अन्ये ते पन्नगा विप्र ये दशंतीह मानवान् । वयं सलिलसंभूता निर्विषाः सर्परूपिणः
anye te pannagā vipra ye daśaṃtīha mānavān | vayaṃ salilasaṃbhūtā nirviṣāḥ sarparūpiṇaḥ
“ഹേ വിപ്രാ! ഇവിടെ മനുഷ്യരെ കടിക്കുന്ന മറ്റു പന്നഗങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ട്; എന്നാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ജലത്തിൽ നിന്നു ജനിച്ചവർ—സർപ്പരൂപികളായിട്ടും വിഷമില്ലാത്തവർ।”
