याज्ञवल्क्य प्रतुष्टोऽहं तव ब्राह्मणसत्तम । इष्टं ददामि ते ब्रूहि यद्यत्संप्रति वांछितम्
yājñavalkya pratuṣṭo'haṃ tava brāhmaṇasattama | iṣṭaṃ dadāmi te brūhi yadyatsaṃprati vāṃchitam
“യാജ്ഞവൽക്ക്യാ, ബ്രാഹ്മണസത്തമാ, ഞാൻ നിന്നിൽ അത്യന്തം പ്രസന്നനാണ്. നിനക്ക് ഇഷ്ടമായ വരം നൽകുന്നു—ഇപ്പോൾ നീ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതു പറയുക.”
