ततोऽसौ तापसो विप्राश्चिंतयामास चेतमि । दक्षोऽयं दृश्यते कोऽपि पुमांश्चैव समागतः
tato'sau tāpaso viprāściṃtayāmāsa cetami | dakṣo'yaṃ dṛśyate ko'pi pumāṃścaiva samāgataḥ
അപ്പോൾ ആ തപസ്വിയായ ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ മനസ്സിൽ ചിന്തിച്ചു—“ഇവിടെ വന്നിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ പുരുഷൻ കഴിവുള്ളവനും യോഗ്യനുമെന്നു തോന്നുന്നു.”
