योऽयं ब्रह्मा स्थितो विप्राः सांप्रतं सृष्टिकारकः । तस्यानेन प्रमाणेन जातं संवत्सराष्टकम्
yo'yaṃ brahmā sthito viprāḥ sāṃprataṃ sṛṣṭikārakaḥ | tasyānena pramāṇena jātaṃ saṃvatsarāṣṭakam
ഹേ വിപ്രന്മാരേ! ഇപ്പോൾ സൃഷ്ടികർത്താവായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്ന ഈ ബ്രഹ്മാവിന്, ഇതേ കണക്കുപ്രമാണപ്രകാരം എട്ട് വർഷം കഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
