अथ पप्रच्छ लोकान्स किमेतन्नगरं स्मृतम् । कोऽयं देशः कोऽत्र राजा किं पुरं नगरं च किम्
atha papraccha lokānsa kimetannagaraṃ smṛtam | ko'yaṃ deśaḥ ko'tra rājā kiṃ puraṃ nagaraṃ ca kim
പിന്നീട് അവൻ ജനങ്ങളോട് ചോദിച്ചു—“ഈ നഗരം എന്തെന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു? ഇത് ഏത് ദേശം? ഇവിടെ രാജാവ് ആര്? ‘പുരം’ എന്നതും ‘നഗരം’ എന്നതും എന്തർത്ഥം?”
