āśayā parayā prāptastavāhaṃ kila maṃdire | pumāneṣa viśeṣeṇa mārkaṃḍeyaḥ priyo mama

Translation

പരമമായ പ്രത്യാശയോടെ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ മന്ദിരത്തിൽ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഈ പുരുഷൻ—പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് മാർകണ്ഡേയൻ—എനിക്ക് അത്യന്തം പ്രിയൻ.
