सूत उवाच । तयोस्तं निश्चयं ज्ञात्वा बकः परमदुर्मना । सुचिरं चिंतयामास कथं स्यादेतयोः सुखम्
sūta uvāca | tayostaṃ niścayaṃ jñātvā bakaḥ paramadurmanā | suciraṃ ciṃtayāmāsa kathaṃ syādetayoḥ sukham
സൂതൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അവരുടെ രണ്ടുപേരുടെയും നിശ്ചയം അറിഞ്ഞ് ബകപക്ഷി അത്യന്തം വിഷണ്ണനായി. ദീർഘനേരം ചിന്തിച്ചു—ഇരുവർക്കും ക്ഷേമം എങ്ങനെ വരും?
