श्रुतिस्मृत्युक्तमार्गेण न मातुर्विद्यते परम् । स तथेति प्रतिज्ञाय आनिनाय परिग्रहम्

Transliteration

śrutismṛtyuktamārgeṇa na māturvidyate param | sa tatheti pratijñāya ānināya parigraham

Translation

ശ്രുതി‑സ്മൃതികൾ ഉപദേശിച്ച മാർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ മാതാവിനേക്കാൾ പരമമായത് ഒന്നുമില്ല. അവൻ “തഥാസ്തു” എന്നു പ്രതിജ്ഞ ചെയ്ത് ആവശ്യമായ കടമാഭാരം ഏറ്റെടുത്തു.
