tanmadhye suśubhaṃ kāṣṭhaṃ staṃbhajātyaṃ dṛḍhaṃ nyaset | candanaḥ khadiro vātha bilvovā'śvattha eva vā

അവയുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ സ്തംഭയോഗ്യമായ ദൃഢവും ശോഭനവുമായ മരക്കഷണം ഉറപ്പായി സ്ഥാപിക്കണം—ചന്ദനം, ഖദിരം, ബില്വം അല്ലെങ്കിൽ അശ്വത്ഥം ഏതായാലും മതി.
