अहंकारो यथा देवि पापपुण्यप्रदायकः । ज्ञाते तत्त्वे शुभफले कृतः संधाय नान्यथा

ahaṃkāro yathā devi pāpapuṇyapradāyakaḥ | jñāte tattve śubhaphale kṛtaḥ saṃdhāya nānyathā

ഹേ ദേവി, അഹങ്കാരം പാപവും പുണ്യവും നൽകുന്ന കാരണമാകുന്നു. എന്നാൽ തത്ത്വം അറിഞ്ഞ് മംഗളഫലം ബോധ്യമായാൽ അതിനെ ശരിയായി സംധിച്ച് (നിയന്ത്രിച്ച്) വിനിയോഗിക്കണം; മറ്റെങ്ങനെ അല്ല.
