नेत्रे मुकुलिते कृत्वा शुरो करौ कृत्वा तु संहतौ । चेतसि ध्यानरूपेण चिंतयेच्छिवमंगलम्

കണ്ണുകൾ അടച്ച്, കൈകൾ ശാന്തമായി ചേർത്ത്, മനസ്സിൽ ധ്യാനരൂപേന ശിവനെ—മംഗളസ്വരൂപനെ—ചിന്തിക്കണം.
