एष त्रयोदशोनाम सुविख्यातो नियंत्रकः । समंतात्कृमिभिर्व्याप्तस्तथा च दृढबन्धनैः
eṣa trayodaśonāma suvikhyāto niyaṃtrakaḥ | samaṃtātkṛmibhirvyāptastathā ca dṛḍhabandhanaiḥ
ഇത് പതിമൂന്നാമത്തെ നരകം; ‘നിയന്ത്രക’ എന്നു പ്രസിദ്ധം. എല്ലാടവും പുഴുക്കളാൽ നിറഞ്ഞതും, ദൃഢമായ അചലബന്ധനങ്ങളാൽ ചുറ്റപ്പെട്ടതുമാണ്.
