यम उवाच । असंख्या नरका विप्र यथा प्राणिगणाः क्षितौ । कृत्स्नशः कथितुं शक्या नैववर्षशतैरपि
yama uvāca | asaṃkhyā narakā vipra yathā prāṇigaṇāḥ kṣitau | kṛtsnaśaḥ kathituṃ śakyā naivavarṣaśatairapi
യമൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ വിപ്രാ! ഭൂമിയിലെ ജീവികൾ എത്ര അസംഖ്യമോ, നരകങ്ങളും അത്ര തന്നെ അസംഖ്യം. അവയെ മുഴുവനായി വിവരിക്കുക നൂറുകണക്കിന് വർഷങ്ങളാലും സാധ്യമല്ല.
