यम उवाच । निमिषेणापि नो मर्त्यमानयामि महीतलात् । आयुःशेषेण विप्रेन्द्र पूर्णेनाथ त्यजामि न

യമൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഒരു നിമിഷം പോലും ഞാൻ ഒരു മർത്ത്യനെ ഭൂമിതലത്തിൽ നിന്ന് കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നില്ല. ഹേ ബ്രാഹ്മണശ്രേഷ്ഠാ, നിശ്ചിത ആയുഷ്ശേഷം പൂർണ്ണമാകുന്നതുവരെ ഞാൻ ആരെയും വിടുവിക്കുകയില്ല.
