तद्दृष्ट्वा सुमहल्लिंगं रुधिराक्तं जलैः प्लुतम् । ब्राह्मणाः संशयगता दह्यमाना वसुन्धरा
taddṛṣṭvā sumahalliṃgaṃ rudhirāktaṃ jalaiḥ plutam | brāhmaṇāḥ saṃśayagatā dahyamānā vasundharā
അത്യന്തം മഹത്തായ ആ ലിംഗം രക്തലിപ്തവും ജലങ്ങളിൽ പ്ലുതവുമായതായി കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ബ്രാഹ്മണർ സംശയഗ്രസ്തരായി; വസുന്ധര ദഹിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തോന്നി.
