तेषां बलाच्च पार्वत्याः शापभारेण यन्त्रितः । तां नित्यमेवानुनयन्नृचे सोवाच शंकरम्
teṣāṃ balācca pārvatyāḥ śāpabhāreṇa yantritaḥ | tāṃ nityamevānunayannṛce sovāca śaṃkaram
അവരുടെ നിർബന്ധത്താലും പാർവതിയുടെ ശാപഭാരത്താൽ ബന്ധിതനായി അവൻ നിത്യവും അവളെ പ്രസന്നമാക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചു. പിന്നെ ഒരു ഋചയിലൂടെ ശങ്കരനെ അഭിസംബോധന ചെയ്തു പറഞ്ഞു.
