अत्र कात्यायनेनोक्तं यद्वचः सुमहात्मना । तच्छृण्वन्तु द्विजाः सर्वे प्रायश्चित्ती तथाप्ययम्
atra kātyāyanenoktaṃ yadvacaḥ sumahātmanā | tacchṛṇvantu dvijāḥ sarve prāyaścittī tathāpyayam
‘ഇവിടെ മഹാത്മാവായ കാത്യായനൻ പറഞ്ഞ വചനം എല്ലാ ദ്വിജന്മാരും കേൾക്കട്ടെ; എങ്കിലും ഈ വിഷയത്തിനും പ്രായശ്ചിത്തമുണ്ട്.’
