सर्वभूतगतो विष्णुराप्याययति वै जगत् । तथाश्वत्थगतं विष्णुं यो नमस्येन्न नारकी
sarvabhūtagato viṣṇurāpyāyayati vai jagat | tathāśvatthagataṃ viṣṇuṃ yo namasyenna nārakī
സകലഭൂതങ്ങളിലും വ്യാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വിഷ്ണുതന്നെ ലോകത്തെ യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ പോഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. അതുപോലെ അശ്വത്ഥവൃക്ഷത്തിൽ അധിഷ്ഠിതനായ വിഷ്ണുവിനെ നമസ്കരിക്കുന്നവൻ നരകയോഗ്യനാകുകയില്ല.
