catvāra uttamāḥ proktā vivāhā munisattama | śeṣāḥ sarvaprakṛtiṣu kathitāśca purāvidaiḥ

ഹേ മുനിശ്രേഷ്ഠാ! നാല് വിവാഹങ്ങൾ ഉത്തമമെന്ന് പ്രസ്താവിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. ശേഷിക്കുന്നവയും വിവിധ സ്വഭാവങ്ങൾക്കും സാഹചര്യങ്ങൾക്കും അനുയോജ്യമായി പുരാതനപരമ്പരാവിദഗ്ധർ വിവരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
