nārāyaṇasya prītyarthaṃ tadevākṣayyamāpyate | martyastyajati śraddhāvānso'naṃtaphalabhāgbhavet
Brahmā
Type: kshetra
Scene: A pilgrim-householder, hands folded, makes a saṅkalpa before a small Viṣṇu/Nārāyaṇa shrine near a tīrtha; a palm-leaf manuscript and a water-pot indicate vrata discipline; the aura suggests ‘akṣaya’ merit flowing like an unending stream.
Faithful renunciation offered to Nārāyaṇa turns a small discipline into imperishable merit and unending spiritual benefit.
No single tirtha is named in this verse; it supports the Cāturmāsya theme within the Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra narrative setting.
Perform tyāga (giving up a chosen item/habit) with śraddhā explicitly for Nārāyaṇa’s pleasure.
