संपूजयसि चौर्येण तेन प्राणान्हराम्यहम् । एवमुक्त्वाथ खड्गेन तं जघान स दैत्यपः
saṃpūjayasi cauryeṇa tena prāṇānharāmyaham | evamuktvātha khaḍgena taṃ jaghāna sa daityapaḥ
'നീ രഹസ്യമായി ആരാധിക്കുന്നു; അതിനാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ജീവനെടുക്കും.' ഇപ്രകാരം പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് ആ അസുരരാജാവ് വാളുകൊണ്ട് അവനെ വെട്ടി.
