श्राद्धे भुक्त्वाऽथ दत्त्वा वा श्राद्धं यो युद्धमाचरेत् । असंदिग्धं हि तच्छ्राद्धं स मन्दो व्यर्थतं नयेत्
śrāddhe bhuktvā'tha dattvā vā śrāddhaṃ yo yuddhamācaret | asaṃdigdhaṃ hi tacchrāddhaṃ sa mando vyarthataṃ nayet
ശ്രാദ്ധത്തിൽ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ച ശേഷം അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ശ്രാദ്ധം നൽകി കഴിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം ആരെങ്കിലും യുദ്ധം/കലഹം ചെയ്യുകയാണെങ്കിൽ, ആ മൂഢൻ നിസ്സന്ദേഹമായി ആ ശ്രാദ്ധത്തെ വ്യർത്ഥമാക്കുന്നു.
