चत्वार्येतानि कृत्यानि मयोक्तानि च तानि ते । यथा तानि प्रकृत्यानि लोकद्वयमभीप्सता
catvāryetāni kṛtyāni mayoktāni ca tāni te | yathā tāni prakṛtyāni lokadvayamabhīpsatā
ഈ നാലു കര്ത്തവ്യങ്ങള് ഞാന് നിന്നോടു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു; ഇഹലോകവും പരലോകവും—ഇരുവിന്റെയും ശ്രേയസ് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവന് അവയെ സ്വഭാവംപോലെ നിത്യമായി ആചരിക്കേണ്ടതാണ്।
