brāhmaṇa uvāca | paranāryāḥ kṛte vatsa prāyaścittaṃ vinirmitam | dharma droṇeṣu sarveṣu varṇānāṃ ca pṛthagvidham

Translation

ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ പറഞ്ഞു: 'കുഞ്ഞേ, പരസ്ത്രീയെ സംബന്ധിച്ചിടത്തോളം, എല്ലാ ധർമ്മഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങളിലും വർണ്ണങ്ങൾക്കനുസരിച്ച് വ്യത്യസ്തമായ പ്രായശ്ചിത്തങ്ങൾ വിധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.'
