विश्वामित्र उवाच । तच्छ्रुत्वा सुचिरं ध्यात्वा गौतमः प्राह तं सुतम् । परिष्वज्य स्वबाहुभ्यां मूर्ध्न्याघ्राय ततः परम्

വിശ്വാമിത്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അത് കേട്ട് ദീർഘനേരം ധ്യാനിച്ച ശേഷം ഗൗതമൻ തന്റെ പുത്രനോട് പറഞ്ഞു. സ്വന്തം ഭുജങ്ങളാൽ ആലിംഗനം ചെയ്ത്, അവന്റെ ശിരസ്സിനെ സ്നേഹത്തോടെ ചുംബിച്ച്/ഘ്രാണിച്ച്, പിന്നെ തുടർന്നു പറഞ്ഞു।
