विष्णुरुवाच । असंशयं सहस्राक्ष हता युद्धे पराङ्मुखाः । प्रेतत्वे यांति ते सर्वे देवा वा मानुषा यदि
viṣṇuruvāca | asaṃśayaṃ sahasrākṣa hatā yuddhe parāṅmukhāḥ | pretatve yāṃti te sarve devā vā mānuṣā yadi
വിഷ്ണു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—ഹേ സഹസ്രാക്ഷ, സംശയമില്ല: യുദ്ധത്തിൽ പിന്നോട്ട് തിരിഞ്ഞ് കൊല്ലപ്പെടുന്നവർ എല്ലാവരും പ്രേതത്വത്തിലേക്ക് പോകുന്നു—ദേവരായാലും മനുഷ്യരായാലും.
