विप्राणां चाथ पुत्रस्य तदोवाच सुदुःखितः । कृत्वाश्रुमोक्षणं भूरि बाष्पगद्गदया गिरा
viprāṇāṃ cātha putrasya tadovāca suduḥkhitaḥ | kṛtvāśrumokṣaṇaṃ bhūri bāṣpagadgadayā girā
അപ്പോൾ അവൻ അത്യന്തം ദുഃഖിതനായി ബ്രാഹ്മണന്മാരോടും തന്റെ പുത്രനോടും പറഞ്ഞു. ധാരാളം കണ്ണീർ ചൊരിഞ്ഞ്, വിങ്ങലാൽ മുട്ടിയ ശബ്ദത്തിൽ സംസാരിച്ചു।
