ऋतुत्रयं चायनं च अयने द्वे तु वत्सरम् । दैविकं च भवेत्तच्च ह्यहोरात्रं द्विजोत्तमाः
ṛtutrayaṃ cāyanaṃ ca ayane dve tu vatsaram | daivikaṃ ca bhavettacca hyahorātraṃ dvijottamāḥ
മൂന്ന് ഋതുക്കൾ ചേർന്ന് ഒരു അയനം; രണ്ട് അയനങ്ങൾ ചേർന്ന് ഒരു വത്സരം. ഹേ ദ്വിജോത്തമരേ, ആ വത്സരമേ ദൈവിക അഹോരാത്രമായി കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
