समौ मानापमानौ च स्वदेशे परिकेपि वा । यो न हृष्यति न द्वेष्टि स यतिर्नेतरः स्मृतः

Transliteration

samau mānāpamānau ca svadeśe parikepi vā | yo na hṛṣyati na dveṣṭi sa yatirnetaraḥ smṛtaḥ

Translation

മാനവും അപമാനവും സമമായി കണ്ടു, സ്വദേശത്തിലായാലും പരദേശത്തിലായാലും, ആരും ഹർഷിക്കാതെയും ദ്വേഷിക്കാതെയും ഇരിക്കുന്നുവോ—അവനേ യതി; മറ്റാരുമല്ലെന്ന് സ്മരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
