एवं ज्ञात्वा सुरश्रेष्ठ कुरु यत्ते सुरोचते । अतिक्रामति कालोऽयं यज्ञयानसमुद्रवः । तिष्ठते च गृहव्यग्रा सापि स्त्री शिथिलात्मिका
evaṃ jñātvā suraśreṣṭha kuru yatte surocate | atikrāmati kālo'yaṃ yajñayānasamudravaḥ | tiṣṭhate ca gṛhavyagrā sāpi strī śithilātmikā
ഇതു അറിഞ്ഞ്, ഹേ സുരശ്രേഷ്ഠാ, നിനക്കു യുക്തമെന്നു തോന്നുന്നതു ചെയ്യുക. കാലം കടന്നുപോകുന്നു, യജ്ഞയാനത്തിന്റെ ഒരുക്കങ്ങളിൽ കലഹം; അവളും ഗൃഹകാര്യങ്ങളിൽ വ്യഗ്രയായി നില്ക്കുന്നു—അവളുടെ നിശ്ചയം ശിഥിലമാണ്.
