विषादो जायते भूयो गुणैरेतैर्नराधिप । अशक्ताः प्रेतयोगाद्वै सर्वस्य शुभकर्मणः
viṣādo jāyate bhūyo guṇairetairnarādhipa | aśaktāḥ pretayogādvai sarvasya śubhakarmaṇaḥ
ഹേ നരാധിപാ! ഈ ‘ഗുണങ്ങൾ’ കൊണ്ടുതന്നെ കൂടുതൽ വിഷാദം വർധിക്കുന്നു; പ്രേതയോഗബന്ധം മൂലം ഞങ്ങൾ എല്ലാ ശുഭകർമ്മങ്ങൾക്കും അശക്തരാകുന്നു.
