व्रतेन नियमेनाथ दानेन च हुतेन च । ततः स सुचिरं ध्यात्वा मामुवाच स्मयन्निव
vratena niyamenātha dānena ca hutena ca | tataḥ sa suciraṃ dhyātvā māmuvāca smayanniva
“വ്രതംകൊണ്ടും, നിയമ-സംയമംകൊണ്ടും, ദാനംകൊണ്ടും, അഗ്നിയിൽ ഹോമാഹുതികളുകൊണ്ടും…” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ് അദ്ദേഹം ദീർഘനേരം ധ്യാനിച്ച്, മന്ദഹാസത്തോടെ എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു।
