nārada uvāca | na tvayā duṣkṛtaṃ kiṃcitpūrvadehāṃtare kṛtam | paraṃ yena susaṃjātaṃ tavedaṃ vyasanaṃ śṛṇu
Nārada
Type: kshetra
Scene: Nārada, serene and authoritative, reassures the distressed person: ‘No wrongdoing of yours; hear the true cause.’
Not all suffering is presented as personal moral failure; dharma includes understanding deeper causes and receiving instruction from realized sages.
The verse is part of a tīrtha-māhātmya chapter, but this statement itself is narrative instruction and does not specify a site.
None explicitly; it introduces an explanation (nidāna) for the misfortune.
