viśvāmitra uvāca | mama śatrurmānyo tra vasiṣṭhaḥ kumuniḥ sthitaḥ | taṃ tvaṃ jahi drutaṃ gatvā tadarthaṃ ca mayā kṛtā
Viśvāmitra
Tirtha: Vasiṣṭhāśrama (implied)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Śaunaka-group (frame assumed)
Scene: Viśvāmitra, intense and resolute, issues a lethal command to the fierce śakti: go swiftly and kill Vasiṣṭha at his hermitage; the moment is morally heavy—power and anger crystallize into an आदेश.
Even when acknowledging another’s greatness, acting from vengeance and commanding harm is shown as a fall from dharma.
The verse occurs within a tīrtha-māhātmya chapter, but the locality is not named in this excerpt.
None for devotees; it contains an instruction to a summoned force within a hostile rite narrative.
