वसिष्ठ उवाच । न त्वां यच्छाम्यहं धेनो प्राणत्यागेऽपि संस्थिते । तद्रक्षस्व स्वयं धेनो आत्मानं मत्प्रभावतः
vasiṣṭha uvāca | na tvāṃ yacchāmyahaṃ dheno prāṇatyāge'pi saṃsthite | tadrakṣasva svayaṃ dheno ātmānaṃ matprabhāvataḥ
വസിഷ്ഠൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ധേനുവേ, പ്രാണത്യാഗം വരേണ്ടിവന്നാലും ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുകയില്ല. അതിനാൽ ഹേ ധേനുവേ, എന്റെ തപോബലപ്രഭാവം കൊണ്ടു ബലപ്പെട്ട നിന്റെ സ്വശക്തിയാൽ നീ തന്നെ നിന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കൂ.
