वसिष्ठ उवाच । मध्याह्न समयो रौद्रः सूर्योऽतीव सुतापदः । तत्कृत्वा भोजनं राजन्नपराह्णे व्यवस्थिते । गन्तासि निजमावासं भुक्त्वान्नं मम चाश्रमे
vasiṣṭha uvāca | madhyāhna samayo raudraḥ sūryo'tīva sutāpadaḥ | tatkṛtvā bhojanaṃ rājannaparāhṇe vyavasthite | gantāsi nijamāvāsaṃ bhuktvānnaṃ mama cāśrame
വസിഷ്ഠൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“മധ്യാഹ്ന സമയം കഠിനമാണ്; സൂര്യൻ അത്യന്തം ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. അതിനാൽ, ഹേ രാജാവേ, ഭോജനം കഴിക്കൂ. അപരാഹ്നം ശാന്തമായ ശേഷം, എന്റെ ആശ്രമത്തിൽ അന്നം സ്വീകരിച്ച് നീ നിന്റെ വസതിയിലേക്കു പോകും.”
