अथैको ब्राह्मणः प्राह चंडशर्मेति विश्रुतः । मया स्कांदपुराणेऽस्मिन्पुरश्चरणसंश्रिता
athaiko brāhmaṇaḥ prāha caṃḍaśarmeti viśrutaḥ | mayā skāṃdapurāṇe'sminpuraścaraṇasaṃśritā
അപ്പോൾ ‘ചണ്ഡശർമൻ’ എന്നു പ്രസിദ്ധനായ ഒരു ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ പറഞ്ഞു—‘ഈ സ്കന്ദപുരാണത്തിൽ ഞാൻ പുരശ്ചരണവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട വിധിയെ ആശ്രയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു।’
