पीयूषमधरे वासं हृदि हालाहलं विषम् । आस्वाद्यतेऽधरस्तेन हृदयं च प्रपीड्यते
pīyūṣamadhare vāsaṃ hṛdi hālāhalaṃ viṣam | āsvādyate'dharastena hṛdayaṃ ca prapīḍyate
ചുണ്ടുകളിൽ അമൃതം വസിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തോന്നും; എന്നാൽ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ഹാലാഹല വിഷം ഒളിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. ചുണ്ടിന്റെ രുചി ആസ്വദിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; ഹൃദയം അതിനാൽ പീഡിതമാകുന്നു।
