व्यास उवाच । सुपुण्यैर्लभ्यते कृच्छ्रान्मानुष्यं भुवि दुर्लभम् । तस्मिंल्लब्धे न किं लब्धं यदि स्याद्गृहधर्मवित्
vyāsa uvāca | supuṇyairlabhyate kṛcchrānmānuṣyaṃ bhuvi durlabham | tasmiṃllabdhe na kiṃ labdhaṃ yadi syādgṛhadharmavit
വ്യാസൻ പറഞ്ഞു—മഹാപുണ്യത്താൽയും കഠിനപ്രയാസത്താൽയും ഭൂമിയിൽ ദുർലഭമായ മനുഷ്യജന്മം ലഭിക്കുന്നു. അത് ലഭിച്ചപ്പോൾ ഗൃഹധർമ്മം അറിയുന്നവൻ ആണെങ്കിൽ, പിന്നെ എന്താണ് ലഭിക്കാതെ പോകുന്നത്?
