कृष्ण पक्षे चतुर्दश्यां चैत्रमासे द्विजोत्तमाः । न तदा लक्षितस्तेन गच्छमानो यदृच्छया
kṛṣṇa pakṣe caturdaśyāṃ caitramāse dvijottamāḥ | na tadā lakṣitastena gacchamāno yadṛcchayā
ഹേ ദ്വിജോത്തമന്മാരേ, ചൈത്രമാസത്തിലെ കൃഷ്ണപക്ഷ ചതുര്ദശിയിൽ ആ മൃഗം യദൃച്ഛയായി പോയി; അപ്പോൾ അവൻ അതിനെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചില്ല.
