yaḥ kaścitprātarutthāya nāma cāsya grahī ṣyati | maṃgalyakaraṇe cātha vighnaṃ tasya bhaviṣyati
Sūta (quoting the brāhmaṇa’s curse)
Scene: A dawn scene: a person rises, the atmosphere tense; the act of uttering a name is shown as releasing dark, knot-like ‘vighna’ forms that hover over ritual implements and auspicious decorations.
Speech (nāma-grahaṇa) is treated as spiritually potent; misaligned invocation can be framed as producing impediments in worldly rites.
The verse is part of the Dharmarājeśvara-tīrtha māhātmya narrative explaining Dharmarāja-related beliefs.
It implies a caution regarding morning nāma-grahaṇa of Dharmarāja in relation to maṅgalya-karaṇa (auspicious ceremonies), due to the curse.
