देवा ऊचुः । अद्यप्रभृति लोकेऽत्र गर्त्तेयं तव शोभने । दीर्घिकेति सुविख्याता भविष्यति जगत्त्रये
devā ūcuḥ | adyaprabhṛti loke'tra gartteyaṃ tava śobhane | dīrghiketi suvikhyātā bhaviṣyati jagattraye
ദേവന്മാർ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—ഹേ സുന്ദരീ! ഇന്നുമുതൽ ഈ ലോകത്തിലെ ഈ തടാകഗർഭം ‘ദീർഘികാ’ എന്ന നാമത്തിൽ ത്രിലോകത്തും സുപ്രസിദ്ധമാകും।
