Indra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Dīrghā/Dīrghakanyā (addressed as ‘śubhe’)
Scene: Indra speaks calmly, diagnosing that only one fault exists and explaining that therefore the seat’s consecration is being done.
It frames ritual rectification: a perceived impurity is addressed through dharmic means, not condemnation, preserving auspiciousness while restoring fitness for sacred life.
This verse sits within the Nāgarakhaṇḍa’s Tīrthamāhātmya narrative framework; the snippet itself does not name a specific tīrtha, but functions as part of a place-glorifying (māhātmya) episode.
Āsana-abhiṣeka—ritual consecration/sprinkling of a seat—indicating a formal rite connected to restoring auspicious order.
